Founded in 2019, DASCO Electric Ltd. provides a range of electrical services on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In addition to our residential services, we offer experience in complex, large-scale industrial and commercial projects. Get to know the owners
Shawn Jolly
Originally from Revelstoke, BC, Shawn came to electrical work after serving as an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy and working as a locomotive engineer at Canadian Pacific Railway. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Calgary.
Shawn completed his electrical apprenticeship (with honours) at Camosun College and worked for several Vancouver Island electrical companies before starting DASCO Electric Ltd. with Danny Miller. Shawn lives in Cowichan Bay with his wife and toddler twins.
Daniel Miller
Dan grew up in the Kootenays enjoying the lakes and the mountains. He completed his electrical apprenticeship training from BCIT in 2002 and complete his FSR certificate in 2010. Since then, he has spent most of his career working on commercial and industrial projects. Some highlights include the Vancouver Aquarium, Nanoose water treatment plant and Langley Concrete Group precast facility. Prior to starting DASCO electric Dan had the privilege of working with Mazzei Electric for 12 years as a lead foreman. When Dan is not working you will find him spending quality time at either Mt. Washington or Quadra island with his four boys and wife.
